I had a great hike with my son in December. We climbed one of the mountains adjacent to Piestewa peak. My children love to hike, especially with their camelbacks. My son got to blow his emergency whistle, drink water from the camelback tube and we pulled out power bars from our packs at the top. We had some great views of Piestewa peak for most of the hike and also had a great view of Camelback Mountain at the top. My son most enjoyed the rocks.... throwing them, rolling them and climbing all over them.
