Arizona Excursions
Life is about the journey, not the destination... In 2010, I was trying to find more time with my camera and realized that my job takes me all over the beautiful State of Arizona. I may have a council meeting in Kingman one night and a board meeting in Tucson the next. I find myself driving through some of the most amazing places that many people pay money to come and visit, like Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Other destinations are rich in historic value. So, I started taking my camera, tripod, etc. on my road trips or using my iPhone. Unlike professionals who may spend an entire day trying to capture the right moment, I am typically on the run and looking for beauty in the very moment I show up! This part of the site, Arizona Excursions, also includes other journeys like hiking and camping trips. The State really comes alive when on the lookout for good photo opportunities...
Read MoreOn the way to Kingman just outside Wickenburg is a forest of Joshua Trees. I drive by them all the time, probably over 50 times so far in my life. This particular day it was storming out and the landscape took on almost a surreal feel. This tree was on the edge of the forest on its own.
